General Rules

Central Library is open every day from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
Upon any infringement of the library rules, members shall forfeit privileges of admission and membership of the library.
The librarian reserves the right to suspend or delinquent membership of any member found misbehaving, abusing the library staff or behaving in an indecent manner.
The librarian may recall any book from member at any time.
Bringing of library card is compulsory for any activity inside library.

Silence is must inside the library. Inside Library only silent self reading is allowed.
Mobile phone in silent mode is permissible inside the library and may be used for messaging, accessing internet for educational purpose.
Use of mobile phone in any form except mentioned above is strictly prohibited and punishable as per the institutional rules and mobile may be ceased.
Proper Dress code should be maintain inside library.
All kinds of personal belongings except notebook are supposed to be kept in the property counter at the entrance.
Library infrastructure should be maintain properly.
Member shall not smoke or spite in any part of the library. Doing so may lead to punishable offense.

Rules for MEMBERSHIP and BORROW OF BOOKS

Library membership card(for library members only) is compulsory to visit library.
For Library membership online form fill-up is compulsory.
The loss of RFID Library Card should be reported immediately in writing to the Librarian and a fine of Rs.100/- will be charged for re-issue of a duplicate ticket.
The RFID Library Card is not transferable.
Membership of a student shall remain valid till he/she remains on the role of the Institute.
Each member will have a RFID Identity Card cum Reader's Ticket according to the category to which he/she belongs to.
Library card is RFID. Please handle this card carefully.
If anyone find lost library card are requested to return it to library immediately.

The privilege of borrowing books from the library is restricted to the registered members only.
Book Issue-Return can only be perform with valid Library Card only.
Member must come to the library personally and Issue/Return the books at the Shelf Check Station.
Member can search the particular book from WebOpac and search the book in concern department shelf. Once the book(s) found can be Issue from the Self-Check Station.
Issue/Return of books must be confirm after after every transaction through Opac Terminal and SMS.
Books once picked out from the stack should be left in the reading table if not issued out.
While browsing books, no book should be replaced by the user on the stack themselves.
The physical condition of the book should be checked while returning of books.
Underlining, marking, folding of pages, etc. in the book is strictly prohibited.
Renew of borrowed book(s) is advisable for saving from overdue of book(s). Renew process is the member have to return and issue the book(s) again.
The members caught tearing of pages/stealing books or otherwise mutilating books will be suspended forthwith from using library facilities and further disciplinary action will be initiated against him/her by the Institute.

SEARCH LIBRARY WEBOPAC TERMINAL

Most Important...

Do not leave any book(s) inside library after issuing/without returning against your account. Doing so you are fully responsible if any unfair means happens.

Members are fully responsible for loss of borrowed book(s).

Kindly check your library accounts regularly for saving your account from overdue of books.

NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE/CLEARANCE: A no Objection Certificate/Clearance may be issued to members only on returning all books borrowed.

LIBRARY CLEARANCE ALLOWED ONLY: Admission Renewal/NOC/Caution Money/Admission Withdraw/Special Cases/Withdraw of Course Final year Marksheet and Certificate, etc.

In case of overdue of book(s) member have to pay due fine. It is collceted as Initiatig overdue is Rs. 15 and it increases Rs. 1 per day for each book.

LOSS OR DAMAGE OF BOOKS

The loss of books borrowed by a user in his/her custody, the borrower shall be liable to replace the book or bear the cost of replacement. If the replacement is not done within 15 days, the defaulter will be charged as follows:

Three times the cost of the book, if the book is in print.

Four times the cost of the book, if the book is out of print.

If the book of a multi-volume set is lost or damaged, the member concerned shall be liable to replace the whole set or pay the cost of the same on the above line.

E-Library Account and Library Mobile App

E-Library account will be created after successful completion of library membership process.
Initially Library will provide temporary account credentials to the member. Member has to change their password on first login and fill up profile details.
E-library provides remote access of subscribed e-resources(E-Journals, E-Books, Standards, Conference Proceedings, etc.) by Central Library, CITK.
Member should not circulate its E-Library account credentials. E-Library account is valid till the course duration of the member.
Member can access and download resources whenever it is available.

Mobile App for library gives much flexibility to use library resources to its users regardless of time and place.
CITK Library Mobile app is available in google play store.
Any member can easily access it after confirmation from admin.
Account credential for mobile app is same as E-Library account.
Member can avail the subscribed resources through mobile app.
